La Municipalidad de San Pedro Pinula continúa activamente en la mesa de trabajo con la presencia de representantes de la COPRESAM, DIPRONA, INAB, vecinos de Santa María Xalapán y del municipio de San Pedro Pinula. El objetivo de estas reuniones es gestionar y acordar medidas para frenar la tala inmoderada de árboles y defender nuestros recursos naturales.
El alcalde municipal Roberto Ramírez Guerra enfatizó que, como Concejo Municipal, se dará el seguimiento correspondiente para llegar a los entes pertinentes y solicitar el apoyo en la lucha contra la deforestación. Además, señaló que se ha creado un acuerdo municipal para no talar árboles en terrenos municipales.
